In an oversaturated and jaded music industry, Ben Crist’s The Glorious Unseen embodies a refreshing take on the strength of song simplicity and heart felt authenticity. And while Crist shows respect for contemporary worship bands such as David Crowder and the like, “In my mind, the intended audience is kids that listen to Underoath and As Cities Burn and all those bands,” he exclaimed. “I want to see this group of ‘scene’ kids really captured into worship and the presence of God. But also - I think that it has a place in Christian music [in general] today as well”.
Somewhat akin to Whole era Pedro the Lion or The Violet Burning’s ’91 classic, Strength, The Glorious Unseen seamlessly embodies the aural equivalent of deep, worshipful longing. Stylistically, a slight, reverent nod to shoegaze-like white noise—similar to early Starflyer 59 or Slowdive—blankets the arrangements in a warm, droning undercurrent. Each song drifts into the next as a complete experience rather than a traditional song-by song oriented collection. With a beautiful sound and lyrics that reach out for the heart of God. Cultivation is privileged to announce The Glorious Unseen from Nashville Tennessee will be joining us in reaching out to God.

The Neverclaim hailing from Vancouver Washington is a band that can be best defined by two of their main goals. Finding out who God is and finding out who we are to God. “When we find ourselves in the presence of the Living God it is impossible not to begin to understand not only the beauty of who our creator is but also the beauty of us, his most precious creation” quotes Jeremiah Carlson, lead singer and song writer of The Neverclaim. Their powerful and inspiring sound mixed with heartfelt lyrics challenge and inspires the listener to understand their individual importance in God changing the world around us. With their catchy melodies and blend of radio rock and indie-influenced sounds from such bands as death cab, Cold Play, Keen, switch foot and more they are destined to put Vancouver WA on the music map.
